X-Pu Ha Beach, Mexico
Will and I typically take a big trip once a year. We love to travel and always feel rejuvenated, refreshed and enlightened when we return from an adventure. In true 2020 fashion two trips we planned were cancelled… there was a point in the year when I literally longed for travel and hungered for an retreat. With limited places to travel, we stumbled upon Hotel Esencia through Ragan Stone, of Ragan Stone Travel. Hotel Esencia is a hidden gem and undoubtedly one of the most chic hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying. The hospitality is refined, yet you feel right at home. Enjoy some snaps from our trip and a few of my favorite details below.

When we arrived at Esencia, we were driven into the hotel grounds on golf cart. We were welcomed with the most refreshing juiced beverage and then had lunch with a view. Once we got to our room, our luggage was waiting for us along with a delicious dessert from our travel agent, Ragan Stone.
We spent the next week enjoying margaritas and chips and salsa under the Yucatan sunshine! The beaches are pink and the water is crystal clear.
The hotel is 30 minutes from the center city of Tulum, and very close to cenotes for exploring nearby. Due to covid we stayed on the grounds (which are endless) and enjoyed all it had to offer.
I had the most phenomenal spa day, where I left relaxed and with glowing skin.
The food at esencia is impeccable. You wake every morning to pastries and coffee outside your bedroom door…need I say more? A few of my favorite menu items listed below. Pro-tip, order room service one night!
