Classic Wedge Salad
Who doesn't love a wedge salad? If you are raising your hand right now, no offense, but there is something wrong with you. Blue Cheese and Bacon combo... enough said. I've been on a major wedge salad kick lately so I thought I would share my recipe with y'all. This dish has helped change things up from our usual sides at dinner. Enjoy!
Blue Cheese Dressing Ingredients
1 Cup of Sour Cream
1/2 Cup of Mayonnaise
1 Teaspoon Red Wine Vinegar
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1-2 Cloves of Garlic, minced (I buy mine in the jar)
3/4 Cup of Crumbled Blue Cheese
1/8 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt
Cracked Pepper to Taste
Salad Ingredients
1 Head of Iceberg Lettuce (cut into 4 wedges)
6-8 Slices of Cooked Bacon (crumbled)
1-2 Cups of Cherry Tomatoes
1 Cup Blue Cheese Crumbles
Cracked Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Add all of the dressing ingredients to a medium bowl and stir well to combine. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
2. Place each lettuce wedge on individual plates. Drizzle the top of each wedge with the blue cheese dressing.
3. Sprinkle each wedge with blue cheese crumbles, crumbled bacon, tomatoes, and cracked pepper to taste.
4. Serve immediately!
